Sharing the same name as the fabled island of King Arthurian folklore, LA’s Avalon has a legendary history of its own. Situated on the corner

of Hollywood and Vine, this 1920s landmark was once a prestigious Tinseltown cinema. Today, however, it’s the iconic centre of a different form of money-spinning show-business in the US, a little something they call ?EDM?. Climbing up the poll each year in line with the dance music explosion, Avalon opened in 2003. Merging epic theatrical production with customized EAW super-sound and stellar visuals, it’s a mystical place in its own right, fit for dance music kings. John Digweed, Simon Patterson and Hernan Cattaneo all played here last month.
